So, the Americans voted in one Mr. D. Trump… arrogant blow-hard, a man who is used to flexing his muscles, a man who wields words like a sword because he can and always could, a man whose mouth is always on the gas pedal while his brain continues to press hard on the brakes.

The media needs to feed on this fodder, but we are also getting caught up in the furor of this insanity because we simply have as yet not put this into perspective.

Ever been asked to reduce your commission by the Seller?

Ever been told by a buyer that some agents give back a portion of their commission to their buyers and they want the same?

Ever have a buyer ask for part of your commission after the sale has become firm and before the closing?

Besides greed is there anything else operating here?

Yes… ignorance.

Let’s Try It

And here we are in a world which we created where permanence has been sadly exiled from the Garden of Eden, but hopefully not forever.

We live in a “Let’s Try It” universe, so let’s try it on for size.

Permanence is not just a word. Permanence does not stand alone. Permanence is a country with many states… Commitment, Trust, Loyalty, Honesty, Truthfulness, Faith, and Relationships.

Playing to Win

Why would anyone play to lose unless they were playing to lose in order to set someone up for a win later.

So here’s the thinking…

I will play almost any game in which I have a chance at winning. If I think I will not have a chance at winning, I don’t want to play. I think that’s what most of us would say about our own philosophies toward winning and losing.

About every other month I find a charge on my bank statement from the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) with whom I have banked for about a half century.

4 Cents charged for OD (presumably… Over Draft), where there has been NO OVERDRAFT!

I sent out a recruiting email to a few Real Estate sales people in a couple of RE/MAX offices.

Not 2 hours later I received a call from a Regional Director at RE/MAX Atlantic Canada asking me to stop sending out the recruiting emails and stop disparaging the RE/MAX brand or else they would be inclined to send me a letter.

Goliath was posturing.
